Frequently asked questions
What businesses usually want to know before starting.
These answers explain CKH’s role, how projects are scoped, and what to expect from the consultation and implementation process.
What does CKH Technology Services do?
CKH helps businesses evaluate, implement, connect, optimize, and support communications technology, including VoIP, UCaaS, call routing, contact center workflows, number porting, CRM integration, automation, training, administration, and provider coordination.
Do we have to replace our current provider?
Not necessarily. CKH can assess the current platform and determine whether the better path is optimization, integration, migration, or replacement.
Does CKH sell phone system licenses?
CKH can help recommend and source a suitable platform when needed, but the value of the engagement goes beyond licensing. CKH can also design, implement, connect, document, and support the communications system.
Why are consulting and implementation prices not shown?
Project scope depends on users, locations, numbers, providers, integrations, call flows, migration requirements, security requirements, training, and support needs. CKH provides a quote after discovery.
Can CKH work with a system we already own?
Yes, when the platform offers the needed administrative access, features, integrations, and technical options. The assessment determines what can be improved without a replacement.
Can CKH handle number porting?
CKH can coordinate number inventory, documentation, carrier requirements, timelines, testing, and cutover planning. Final portability and timing depend on the carriers and account details.
Can CKH connect our phone system to our CRM?
Potentially. The available integration depends on the communications platform, CRM, licensing, APIs, supported connectors, security requirements, and desired workflow.
Do you support therapists and behavioral health group practices?
Yes. Therapy practices are CKH’s current primary vertical focus. CKH helps improve intake routing, business calling, voicemail, after hours handling, follow up, privacy conscious configuration, administration, and growth planning.
Do you only work with therapists and group practices?
No. Therapy practices are CKH’s current primary vertical focus, especially for organizations that need thoughtful call handling, privacy conscious workflows, and HIPAA supporting communications. CKH also works with other small and midsize service based businesses that need business phone service, VoIP, call routing, messaging, CRM integration, automation, or communications support. Each opportunity is evaluated based on its communication needs rather than its industry alone.
Does Intermedia support HIPAA compliance and offer a BAA?
Intermedia states that its Elevate communications platform provides security features designed to help healthcare customers support HIPAA requirements, and that a Business Associate Agreement is available upon request. Intermedia also states that Elevate Archiving is designed to support HIPAA compliance programs.
What HIPAA supporting capabilities may be available?
Depending on licensing and configuration, capabilities can include TLS encryption in transit, AES 256 bit encryption at rest, access controls, multifactor authentication, archiving of voice, SMS, chat and meetings, audit logs, retention policies, WORM storage, legal hold, and optional compliance review workflows.
Does a HIPAA supporting platform and BAA make our practice compliant?
No. Technology and a BAA are important parts of a compliance program, but compliance also depends on correct configuration, internal policies, workforce training, permitted use, risk management, and customer enforcement. The practice should review legal and regulatory decisions with qualified advisors.
What can CKH do for a practice with HIPAA related communications requirements?
CKH can help document use cases, review available vendor controls, identify relevant licensing, coordinate the Intermedia BAA request, configure selected communications and archiving features, train authorized users, and maintain implementation documentation. CKH does not provide legal advice or compliance certification.
Can CKH provide business numbers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico?
Yes. CKH can help clients obtain new business numbers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Availability, supported number types, calling features, SMS capability, emergency calling requirements, identification requirements, taxes, and other provider or regulatory conditions can vary by country and locality. CKH confirms the requirements before ordering or porting.
Where can CKH provide service?
CKH provides remote communications consulting, implementation, integration, and ongoing support across the United States and Canada. When phone hardware requires onsite attention, service can be scoped for the New Jersey tristate area, subject to project requirements and availability.
What happens after I submit the consultation form?
CKH reviews the information, confirms the communication problem and desired outcome, and follows up using the contact method and time you selected.
Have a question that is specific to your environment?
Use the consultation form to describe the current system, team size, and main communication problem.
